As fresh and new today as when it was written.
This cookbook is modern American cooking at it best, using fresh ingredients and presenting them in simple way. I love the comments in the margins and the menu suggestions along with cooking hints makes it a very useful cookbook that the home cook can use. Highly recommended.

oldie but goodie
I have used this book for 20 years,,,some of the recipes are dated by just too many ingredients but it is still a classic. Pasta with Breadcrumbs and the Pasta Amatriciana are just so good. Roast Chicken and Chicken soup are perfect and the Stuffing with Cornbread and Sausage is a real keeper.
