If you know about or fear an EMP, this is a must read. No matter how the EMP happens, solar or nuclear burst. This is a story of survival and life after the fact. How people in a town regain their composer, become creative, and restore order to life. This is a good guide book for what may come to be. The book is an oldie but a goodie....

What to expect after an nuclear terrorist attack
The premise of the book is the cataclysmic aftermath of several nuclear air blasts and the resultant chaos. Very thought provoking. It is also a story about how thin the veneer of civilization actually is.
