Leider sieht die Realit�t h�ufig anders aus. Unternehmen m�ssen sich durch den steigenden Konkurrenzdruck, den steigenden Verdr�ngungswettbewerb, die steigende Globalisierung und den raschen Fortschritt der Technik immer z�giger an die schnelllebige Gesellschaft anpassen. Aber nicht jeder Mitarbeiter ist daf�r ausger�stet "schneller zu laufen". Die F�hrung durch Befehl und Gehorsam und Ergebniskontrolle geh�rt der Vergangenheit an. In der Zukunft wird die F�hrungskraft gesucht, die nicht ausschlie�lich befiehlt und kontrolliert, sondern ihre Mitarbeiter qualifiziert und motiviert. Mit diesen Themen hat sich die Organisationspsychologie intensiv besch�ftigt. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit stellt sich die Frage, welchen Einfluss haben die verschiedenen F�hrungsstile auf die Arbeitsmotivation der Mitarbeiter? Die F�hrungsforschung hat ergeben, dass es den "perfekten" F�hrungsstil nicht gibt, daher soll diese Arbeit F�hrungskr�ften helfen, Mitarbeiter zu verstehen und ihnen Werkzeuge an die Hand geben, um in verschiedenen Situationen den optimalen F�hrungsstil auszuw�hlen und anzuwenden. In den letzten Jahren vollzieht sich ein Wertewandel. Der Mitarbeiter strebt nicht mehr nur nach der klassischen Karriere und Status, sondern Familie und Freizeit erlangt einen immer h�heren Stellenwert. Um einen Mangel an qualifizierten Fach- und F�hrungskr�ften zu vermeiden, geht diese Arbeit noch auf die Frage ein, wie die Aussicht auf Entwicklung und Karriere die Motivation erh�hen kann.
