In der Forschung greift man daher auf die mehr oder weniger vollst�ndigen griechischen, aber auch auf syrische �bersetzungen zur�ck. Die griechische Version, die �lteste und bedeutendste, enth�lt aber innerhalb der Kapitel 30-36 Vertauschungen. Die Texteditionen richten sich nun zum Teil am griechischen Text aus, stellen aber teilweise die urspr�ngliche Ordnung wieder her oder benutzen eine neue Z�hlart. Die Z�hlsynopse m�chte den Wirrwarr unterschiedlicher Z�hlungen beheben und basiert auf einer neu konzipierten polyglotten (hebr�ischen, syrischen, griechischen und lateinischen) Textedition, die im Winter 2003/2004 in dieser Reihe vorgelegt wird. In diesem kolometrisch gegliederten Text sind alle �berh�nge des Griechischen (GII), Hebr�ischen und Syrischen eingearbeitet. So entstand eine durchlaufende Z�hlung, die den griechischen Text nach der klassischen Edition Zieglers im wesentlichen �bernimmt und im eben genannten Sinne erg�nzt. Eingearbeitet wurden griechische Editionen (Ziegler, Swete, Rahlfs), die hebr�ischen Editionen (Sefer, Beentjes), die syrische Edition (de Lagarde, Mossul, Ambrosianus, Calduch-Benages und Liesen, Peshitta-Institut/Leiden), die lateinische Edition (Rom, Stuttgart), die Einheits�bersetzung, der revidierte Luthertext, die New Revised English Standard Version und Sauer/JSHRZ.
