My neighbor is in her mid-80s. She read the last 2 books of this series years ago, but could never find the first 2. She was ecstatic when I took these to her, and her son said she never put them down till she finished them. Another success story from Alibris!

Savannah
I enjoy Eugenia Price books as they are usually fictional but historical. I have enjoyed this whole series.

I have read all these book before, I was so inpressed by them, that I wanted them in my library at home. I also told a friend about them and she also wanted them in her library. I plan on reading them again over the coming winter. Eugenia Price putsstart you in the story and holds you there. Her stories are the one you do not want to put down until you finish, then you want to start the the next one. I shopped all over the local area, and could not find all. Thank you for having a place where I can find the books I really want.

Excellent Historical facts
Eugenia Price has won my heart. She completely captivates true historical events and people, integrating them perfectly with fictional characters whom the story revolves around. This is the first book of a series of three and I inhaled each, one after the other. I usually don't read series, but this one -- I could not get enough of so I was glad there were sequels. Her being a true literary artist, her details and style isn't to be compared to any other. I study history of the south and Eugenia accomplished the art of *easily* making me feel like I was a bystander, friend and Savanniahan included in the story. If you love Victorian history, if you love engrossing fictional characters, if you love detailed non-fiction, if you love the grit of the south --- you'll love this book. I can see why she won many, many awards for her works. This series is my most preciously favored in my entire library of collection and my recommendations could not be higher. It's a book that has the ability to bring out every human emotion possible while feeling like you are literally sitting in Savannah's beautiful squares. She brings non-fictional characters to such life as none previously have captured, I had to keep reminding myself that the majority were *real* people, once upon a time.
