What a wonderful conclusion to the Savannah quartet. Don't try to read it without reading the other three first or you'll not have the character attachments. I only wish the story continued. This book deals with the hot issues leading up to the civil war, but from the perspective of the common families that were thrown into the middle of it. Beautifully written and full of southern romance.
