I read this one after I read the story (While Lies) that showed only a glimpse of Kell as "The Man". That left me hoping (unwittingly) for Kell's story. Here it is (although it came first and I did not know it). Again a story where the "hero" is really the heroine. Wonderul!! A woman of less experience (from prior marriage to a DEA agent) would have faltered and made the mistake of giving out too much information and/or bringing in the authorities. Woman's intuition or instint alone play a large roll in this book. She finds him, saves him, nurses him, protects him all while not sure the path she is taking. Only she is driven by her instinct. They love, they plan and they join forces with another character with his own book (Grant Sullivan). The result is as one expect given that Kell states clearly his intent to disappear as soon as seige ends. The story to get there is enthralling and detailed enough to keep you on your toes. You won't be disappointed in the ending, but I truely expected theirs to be found in another book elsewhere after the passage of time. Single read, fast paced and exciting throughout. Must read - possible second look also. It also introduces you to another character (John, the rancher) who has his own book also. Pick up all four and wind the stories to introduce you to the characters and allow you to finally know each story fully.
