The copy I got was a novelization of the 1951 movie, not Sienkiewicz's work. Be sure the copy you order has Sienkiewicz's name actually on it.
As for a review, I stopped at the 1st sentence of the 2nd paragraph, so I really can't say.

Quo Vadis Domine?
Where are thou going Lord? Although I am not a catholic but a Baptist, Henryk Sienkiewicz is my favorite author. He does an amazing job of describing the battle that goes on within a person that will never be seen on the outside. This story of a young man who finds Jesus Christ in his life and will not change his new life for anything is a perfect example for us how we should serve Christ.

Life changing stories
A blend of history, romance, drama and legend, Quo Vadis is definitely a masterpiece of the genre. This book will hook you from the first page, and it will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last phrase. Based on real historical events that take place in Rome during Nero?s cruel rule of the empire, the intensity and drama of the situation is enhanced by a beautifully outlined love story between a rugged roman soldier and a delicate Christian princess. In a time when Christians were being persecuted at the strict orders of the emperor, people kept the faith and gave their lives in the name of the Lord. Detailed descriptions of the diabolical plans of extermination that Nero invented especially for Christians enhance the realism of the book. A history lesson, a love story, legends, myths and drama are the key ingredients for this book. Reading it is a life changing experience, and I highly recommend it to everyone.
