Loved the book, experience with Dan Simmons books remind me of years spent reading Stephen King and Hardy Boys with a flashlight and dreaming of living in a mid-western town with spooky goings on. This is a book someone takes to work to read on break, to read while waiting on someone to shop, and bring to bed to read at night. Addictive author and all his books are worth reading.

J Edgar Hoover on the hunt
This novel is beautifully based on the facts involved in Hemingway's pursuit by Hoover, who devoted 100% of one agent's time to surveillance of the writer and his rich friends in Key West and Cuba. It's a lark.
