When Max Rotherbridge unexpectedly inherits from his uncle, he also inherits 4 beautiful wards. As one of the most notorious rakes of London, he knows all the tricks a bachelor (with bad intentions) can think of and use on unsuspecting young ladies (fresh from a rigid upbringing in the country). Of course, all the women are drop-dead beautiful with exquisite clothes and handsome dowries. Yawn.
Max immediately selects the oldest, and most beautiful, Caroline Twinning. This story is unusual because all four of the young women are married off in the same book. Essentially, this is the story of 4 impossibly-stunning ladies finding 4 of the most die-hard confirmed bachelors (and noted rakes) of the Ton -- and eventually marrying them.
It is a straight story, no great disclosures of emotional significance. This is pure escapist reading. There is nothing wrong with it; I just felt that there wasn't much that I got out of the story. It's very average.

A Handful Indeed!!
"Four in Hand" by Stephanie Laurens is written in a wickedly humorous manner!! The most notorious rake in London inherited the wardship of four stunningly beautiful and clever girls. And as he had feared they were chased by every rake in the town and became a headache for him. But he still became their guardian, since he was interested in his eldest ward, Caroline. The Twinning sisters are very choosy in whom they will accept, but once they have made the decision, not even the candidates themselves can save themselves-so persistent and manipulative are they!! This book is sure to reinforce your belief in love and its immense power to render even the strongest of men a merry toy in the weakest of women's hands! It is hilarious in that, but the gentlemen are far from helpless themselves! Altogether it is a great read, and most likely you will enjoy it a lot!!
