Great book, challenging the project manager / team leader to defy the corporate status quo, and change the workplace, create a good and satisfying atmosphere for team members. Has good examples of successful teams, lots of humor on how companies are blind to the problems they create themselves, with the standardization of offices and so on.
Has also some good research data supporting the claims, and even though some of the facts (teams are the ones who do work, team identity is a must, ...) are common sense nowadays, it's still a pleasure to read.

Great book with examples
Generally great book. Except a few points went to the extreme. Authors had software management experience. However, they do not have top level management experience. Some points went to the extreme because they do not have comprehensive business operation knowledge. Good book if just for software programmer management book. Somewhat out dated because now day's young generation programmers are "different" (I was trying to say less disciplined) than then day's programers.
