Seller's Description:
Very good. Connecting readers with great books since 1972! Used books may not include companion materials, and may have some shelf wear or limited writing. We ship orders daily and Customer Service is our top priority!
This is written by a man who killed over 1000 elephants, many with a cartridge many would consider too light for elk, the 7x57 Mauser.
How one feels about killing elephants for ivory may put some off from reading this book, but the bulk of the writing is his first hand accounts of dealing with Central African tribes as he negotiates for support (porters) and permission to hunt. I would recommend reading this if the sole goal is to learn how the indigenous tribes lived over one hundred years ago.
