I enjoy Ms. Penny's books a lot and search constantly for those I'm missing. This one was very enjoyable as are all the others I've found. Her protagonist, Armand Gamache, is a well rounded, believable character. Other characters populating the story are charming, leaving one wanting to meet them. If the village of Three Pines actually existed, I would dust off my high school French and move there.
