So-so read
I just finished this book...while I enjoyed reading a story written about another land (Scotland) in another time, and the main character is rather likeable (especially since he's got an oft-ill-mannered voice in his head that steers his thoughts/comments), as well as the "victim" in the story...she pulls at the heartstrings a bit! ...the book was slow moving, especially at first. I'm one to always finish a book once I start and I felt like it didn't matter either way if I finished this one or not...I guess I just kept hoping it would get better??? Although the storyline was good...and I didn't guess the ending, which I often do in mysteries...so that was a bonus!
