Weiten's text is very comprehensive from an evolutionary psychological viewpoint. Great coverage of the scientific method and its relevance, very well written and explained. It covers a lot of history, theory and application of psychological theories making it a very good textbook - however.....
What it lacks is a culturally and linguistically diverse view of differing worldviews related to psychology - this is essential to be relevant to the vast majority of the world who are not Caucasian, westernized or have the same worldview. It also lacks a section on qualitative psychological research methods as an adjunct to quantitative.
