In 1984 the Cambridge University Press celebrated four hundred years of continous printing and publishing, and this history gives a readable and not-too-formal introduction to that unique record. Blue boards with gold-color lettering on spine, 343 pp., lists 26 illustrations but only 24 shown due to printer's error; captions for the missing illustrations are cited. Jack is light-blue with gold-color Cambridge emblem. Covers have no wear, text has slightly age-toned but is otherwise unmarked and appears unread, tight binding. Jacket is slightly worn with a sunned spine and a very tiny tear on top edge of the front panel.
