Slick in a 1970s Way
My only objection is that the language is not literary. If the reader is interested in action, exaggeration of character types, a tongue-in-cheek kind of humor, then this book is fine.

Zowie! What a Read!
Hiaasen's debut and still one of my all-time favorite novels, here Carl introduces us into his quirky view of modern-day Florida and one of the most original ways in which to dispose of a body in modern fiction. A career journalist, Hiaasen knows how to keep a story moving forward and you won't be disappointed if you like your fiction fast-paced. Hiaasen's stories are hilarious, his cast of characters oddballs to say the least. If you're a fan of Randy Wayne White or Elmore Leonard, you're in for a real treat. This book will convert you into a life-long Hiaasen fan, so you might as well buy them all now......
