While I liked this book, I have to admit I liked the movie better. I didn't get the same sense of drama from the printed page, as I did watching Maggie Smith bring the part to life. It was, however, a good read.

A really good book
I really liked this book. This is one of those books which once you read you know has a much deeper meaning than what's on the surface level. This book follows the lives of a set of pupils belonging to the infamous Miss Jean Brodie. Supposedly she is a fascist (this book is set in the 1930s). The heroine is fascinating. She is hated, feared, and respected and finding out about her is like being let in on a dirty secret. She is scandolous. I loved seeing what kind of people her pupils grew up to be. Rose is probably the most memorable seeing as how most people would be shocked and intrigued by a young sex symbol. I definitely want to read this book again. It was a fun and short read.
