This book was good enough that I finished it til the end, but there was something missing. Like one of the other reviewers mentioned, I wish the book had stayed more focused on the girl and her mom. It started to drift off a little in places...If you like reading about family dynamics, then give this one a go. Otherwise don't bother. I much prefer thriller and suspense anyway!

If you like Jodi Picoult - this book is very similar to her work.
The book was quick and makes you think about what YOU would do for your child, if you had the option. Would you take the blame for something with legal implications to protect your daughter from a life of potential future issues, wrong-turns and judgement? Think about it.
The mother / dead-guy's brother relationship was just weird... I mean, where did that come from????
