The author wrote "Best Wishes, Louis Diat" on the first end paper. There is some light soiling along the fore edge. The pages are otherwise clean with no tears. The copyright page shows 1941 as the published date. The maroon cloth board covers have white text and designs. The covers show general edgewear and scuff marks. This old book looks and feels great!
