This series of 5 books is so well written, researched and true to Biblical text that our Bible Study group read them all as a introduction to the Minor Prophets in the Old Testament. Amazing work by an amazing author. She is a wonderful blessing to all her readers.

Mercy
The fifth and final book in this historical fiction series, the Chronicles of the kings, ends satisfactorily. The wicked King Manasseh continues his reign of terror until God puts a stop to it and Manasseh is taken away to a dungeon in Babylon. While there, he sees his sin and repents. I had forgotten that, since the name of Manasseh is always associated with such great wickedness and idolatry. Joshua's overwhelming hatred of him and his desire for vengeance take over him and he rejoices in the downfall of his lifelong enemy. But even the 'good guy', Joshua, has to learn that he needs forgiveness, too, and that vengeance belongs to God. Joshua is humbled and reconciled to both Manasseh and God.
