Gone are the 60-minute excursions into warm, percussion-laden deep house moments du jour , replaced by trip-hop beats and vocals by nearly anonymous chanteuses. The second disc is probably the most curious, original, and unexpected disc in the entire Hed Kandi catalog. Contributions from Mazzy Star, Lamb, Natalie Imbruglia, and Snow Patrol are all here, which is an oddity for a series priding itself on being a dominant force in commercial dance music.
