It "helps infants and toddlers achieve their extraordinary, and unique, potential." It does so by introducing them to a collection of excerpts from classical music by the likes of Bach, Brahms, and Mozart, as well as traditional melodies, played by a chamber orchestra consisting of harp, celeste, violin, viola, cello, clarinet, and flute. Sleepy Baby is "a restful collection arranged to progressively lull your child into a deep and refreshing sleep." Other titles in the series carry the elitist notion, dressed up in pseudo-scientific jargon, that European classical music is superior to the music of other cultures in fostering healthy child development, a notion likely to be accepted primarily by parents who like such music themselves. This one, however, is highly functional. It is intended to put your child to sleep; the music even gets quieter during the course of the album's running time.
