This two-disc set, a generous helping at over 140 minutes in length, adds up to more than the sum of its parts; it would make a good introduction to MorningStar's deepening catalog of praise & worship music. Leaders Don Potter, Suzy Wills, Leonard Jones, and Matthew Donovan manage a wide variety of styles: strutting pop/blues ("I Gotta Get Closer"), soaring, funk-tinged gospel (the astounding "Jeremiah 33"), and aching balladry ("If the People"). There are some charming surprises, including one cut from the children's ministry, and a fine polka tune written by Donovan.
