Clarinetist Jim Cullum Sr.'s Happy Jazz Band recorded several rewarding albums for their own Audiophile and Happy Jazz labels in the 1960s. The "San" Antonio-based band in 1965 featured the leader, his son Jim Cullum Jr. on cornet, trombonist Gene McKinney, and a fine four-piece banjo/tuba rhythm section.
