' Tyrone Davis hit No. 1 on the R&B chart and broke the Pop Top 5 with two slices of incandescent Chicago soul, "Can I Change My Mind" (1968) and "Turn Back the Hands of Time" (1970). Soaked in regret, the singles matched the Mississippi native's deep-blue vocal style with sophisticated arrangements.
