"Something's Gotta Give" has political message which is bolstered by the strength of its musical parts -- thoughtful lyrics, acoustic guitar licks, and wickedly inventive rhythms. "Treat Yo Mama" is nearly as refreshing, but what really surprises here is the JBT's take on John Lennon's "Across the Universe."
