"Calypso Zydeco," "Fais Do Do" and "Fog On the Mountaintop" are best described as Southern-style roots-rock with Cajun overtones. Lead singer Tom Rigney's violin is prominent throughout the album, and he plays it in a very Cajun-like fashion. This earthy date is anything but slick -- the Sundogs sound like a bar band, and that's a big part of their charm.
