Great series & xtras, 2 disks play poorly
This is a great collection: The series is well-written, and there are sufficient extras to at least whet the appetite of fans. It's a real disappointment that Lauren Graham didn't participate more in some of those features: The other actors had so much to say about her that it would have been nice to get more of her perspective on the show.
Picture and audio are generally very good, but two of the disks had difficulty starting up in the three laptops we tried. This may have something to do with packaging: Each season is packed in several disks in a cardboard folder, which is convenient. However, each disk is tucked into a plastic bag in its slot in the folder. This seems a little chintzy: even a paper sleeve would have been better, though the plastic bag probably leads to less scratches than paper. On the up side, this is a very compact set: all seven seasons fit in a case that takes up about the same space on our bookshelf as ONE season of most other shows.
The merchant got this to us on the exact day promised, right in time for my wife's birthday. She is looking forward to watching this series over again with our daughter many times, and it's nice to have this series while living abroad.
