Romance brewing?
Although wildly strays from original story, still makes for an interesting twist to this action film. While the portrayal of dwarves and their various personalities is good, Bart's position is altered so much as to be ridiculus. Addition of female elf character gives some body to the story line, as well as a possible romantic angle between the elf and dwarve. While this is never suggested in the original story, it seems fitting in this version, although can't help but wonder what will become of him in the last episode. Will the film outcome be the same as in the book?
