The story commences in Giza, Egypt, circa 1928, where an archaeological expedition unearths an ancient ring with cryptic hieroglyphs. The film then moves to the present day, where Egyptologist Daniel Jackson (James Spader) is busily trying to convince a group of skeptics that the pyramids were not built by man, but by an extraterrestrial force. This product has both the version that appeared in theaters and also a director's cut-type of alternative. Since I had seen the original already, I enjoyed seeing a somewhat different version this time around. Great flic!

Fun Egyptian sci-fi!
I've heard of crazier pyramid theories. Seriously awesome art direction and solid acting make this a fun jaunt into Egyptian-parallel sci-fi fantasy!
