If the reader wants to know about an individual, there are sections within the chapters about the officers and enlisted men. It is the intention of this book to describe the battery's place in the large scheme of things. On the maps in this book are marks that show the location of the battery at each battle. In each chapter, after the narrative, there are descriptions of the officers and what they were doing, followed by information about the enlisted men. At the end of the book, there are several appendices that present lists of men for various times. The names are listed chronologically first and then alphabetically.
