I hadn't seen him in years. He shared that he had been ministering. "What church do you attend?" He frowned and said, "I don't do traditional religion! I was in a cult for years!" He went on to explain that his brother was attending a cultic church. He was referring to a church where the pastor was a well-respected member of our community. "They do confessions that they are healed when they are not. Does your church do that?" This pastor and other members of his congregation had testimonies of supernatural healing from terminal conditions. Wow! My mind spun. What are the odds that I would run into someone whom I haven't seen in years and engage in a conversation about decrees?
