Despite all this -- with the exception of the famous conversion of the anti-Christian banker Alphonse Ratisbonne -- stories concerning the medal's powers remain elusive. The purpose of this short but true story is to shed light on some of the amazing experiences sincere believers continue to have even centuries after the first medal was struck.
