Lessons of loving kindness are conveyed by Louisa May Alcott in her little-known story told in Flower Fables. The enchanting illustrations of the darling fairies by Leah Palmer Preiss only serves to enhance the content, leading young readers to find the hidden faces of prominent writers and quotations. Ms Preiss should be commended for providing the depth of teaching through the intricate illustrations. I would recommend this book to those with young children, and to teachers everywhere. I have copies for each of my grandchildren.
