Es braucht vielmehr die ewige Selbstbesinnung, damit es nicht vergi�t, mit welch ungeheurer Verantwortung es in die Welt gestellt worden ist. Dieses Buch will zeigen, wo die Verantwortung und also der Sinn in der Existenz des j�dischen Volkes liegt. Es will zugleich einer aktuellen historischen Situation des Judentums gerecht werden, die es n�tig macht, da� noch einmal in einem gro�en und gedr�ngten Zuge das Lebens- und Schicksalsbild des j�dischen Volkes entstehe.
