Eval�a el desempe�o de exportadores tradicionales y no tradicionales, e identifica casos emblem�ticos que ilustran la historia de la econom�a en el pa�s y que se reflejan en la evoluci�n de la inversi�n, el empleo y la productividad. Relata la experiencia de la multitud de familias, peque�os negocios y trabajadores por cuenta propia que sobreviven precariamente, produciendo y vendiendo desde ma�z y frijol hasta tortillas o servicios de comida.
