In our sideboards we can find real nutritional treasures, rich in vitamins, minerals, fibers and we are more and more aware that food can help us feel good with ourselves, giving us energy and joy of life. Superfoods can be foods we normally use in our diet, like olive oil, or foods that arrived just recently on our tables from distant countries, like chia seeds and goji berries. The aim of this book distinguished by with beautiful pictures and accurate descriptions is to suggest the right way to integrate these superfoods in our diet, through delicious and quick recipes, easy to follow. Organised into four sections starters and appetizers, first and single courses, second courses, snacks and desserts this book invites you to add to your meals vegetables and cereals like cabbage, chicory, spinach, oatmeal and bulgur; spices, seeds and berries even if not so common, but also chocolate and yogurt! You don't need to turn upside down your habits, but make a few changes and additions, for example using seasonal fruits and vegetables, more flavourful and rich of nutritional properties; or simply switch between usual snacks and a handful of pine nuts or almonds, rich in antioxidants. And what about the dessert, the highlight of a delicious meal? Choosing wholegrain flours, it will be much easier to stock up on vitamins, minerals and fibre, thanks to superfoods!
