Back then, she was known as Marieta, the city girl who had to be taught everything about living on a farm, from milking cows, to wearing clogs, harvesting fruit, sewing, keeping the goats safe, and more. It's not easy to wake up super early to walk to school, especially after having worked all afternoon on the farm.
