Doch erst nach der Verabschiedung der Verfassung der Republik im Jahr 1990 wurde diese Beteiligung st�rker betont, vor allem mit den ersten Pr�sidentschafts- und Parlamentswahlen im Jahr 1994 und verst�rkt mit der Einf�hrung der kommunalen Selbstverwaltung im Lande im Jahr 1998. Mit diesen wegweisenden Ereignissen begann eine st�rkere Beteiligung der B�rger am Regierungsprozess, insbesondere im Hinblick auf die lokale Entwicklung, da dieses Regierungsmodell die Einbeziehung der Bev�lkerung in den Entscheidungsprozess in allen Lebensbereichen voraussetzt. Die vorliegende Studie, die in der Gemeinde Rib�u� durchgef�hrt wurde, zielt daher darauf ab, die Formen und die Bedeutung der B�rgerbeteiligung im Governance-Prozess f�r die lokale Entwicklung aufzuzeigen. Damit will der Autor dazu beitragen, den Geist dieses Governance-Modells im Hinblick auf das Gemeinwohl zu festigen.
