Entre os governantes neo-pag�os, aqueles que tinham adquirido conhecimentos sobre o sistema educativo ocidental do seu pa�s consideravam este sistema de ensino in�til, bizarro e sem vida. Pensavam que todos os indianos eram ignorantes, incultos e incivilizados. Com base nesta mentalidade tacanha, decidiram que o sistema educativo ineficaz devia ser erradicado e que o sistema educativo das escolas, col�gios e universidades devia ser introduzido no sistema ocidental. Contra isso, iniciou-se um novo movimento no dom�nio da educa��o na sociedade bengali.
