Cependant, leur contribution n'est pas bien reconnue et valoris�e. Bien s�r, dans un pass� r�cent, un certain nombre de programmes et d'activit�s ont �t� entrepris pour am�liorer la situation de cette section vuln�rable de la population. Mais nous devons encore parcourir des kilom�tres et des kilom�tres ensemble pour l'autonomisation des femmes au sens propre et dans l'esprit. Afin de les renforcer et d'am�liorer leur statut, il est n�cessaire d'accro�tre leur participation aux activit�s g�n�ratrices de revenus. Le statut de la femme peut s'am�liorer gr�ce � l'ind�pendance �conomique. L'environnement commercial et socioculturel est aujourd'hui plus propice � l'auto-emploi des femmes. Conscient de ce fait, l'ICAR a lanc� le Krishi Vigyan Kendra dans le pays. Il organise des formations professionnelles pour les jeunes femmes rurales sur des activit�s g�n�ratrices de revenus telles que la couture, la boulangerie, la conservation des fruits et l�gumes, la coupe et la couture des tissus, etc.
