Questo volume � il 7� di una serie di libri che si concentrano sulla pratica della gestione ambientale urbana (UEM) nei paesi in via di sviluppo. Queste citt� affrontano problemi pi� immediati di quelle del mondo sviluppato e hanno meno risorse per affrontarli. Questo studio � il rapporto di un workshop per laureati che ha avuto luogo presso la School of Planning, College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning, University of Cincinnati, USA da agosto a dicembre 2020. L'obiettivo del workshop era quello di preparare gli studenti a lavorare all'estero in ambienti poveri di dati come pianificatori professionisti di consulenza. I 10 studenti nazionali e internazionali hanno operato in gruppi di lavoro o squadre a livello settoriale per preparare un piano ambientale quinquennale per Istanbul, in Turchia. Questa straordinaria citt� si trova a cavallo dello stretto del Bosforo, e si trova sia in Europa che in Asia. Con oltre 15 milioni di abitanti e in rapida crescita, Istanbul � la pi� grande citt� d'Europa e la quinta citt� pi� grande del mondo in termini di popolazione entro i limiti della citt�.
