Def�tismus und "Kapitulantentum" sollten mit drakonischen Strafen bek�mpft und so der Durchhaltewillen der Deutschen bef�rdert werden. Jenseits der bekannten Gewaltgeschichten des Nationalsozialismus, der Vernichtung politischer Gegner und des Holocaust, er�ffnet sich damit ein bisher von der Forschung weitgehend vernachl�ssigtes Kapitel der Exzesse des Regimes. Die Entgrenzung der Gewalt und deren Sto�richtung nach Innen sind dabei die Kennzeichen dieser Phase des Nationalsozialismus, in der nun auch die weltanschaulich unbedenklichen, "reinrassigen" und nicht dem Widerstand angeh�renden Deutschen zu Opfern des Systems werden konnten. Zwischen Fanatismus und Resignation, Endsiegzuversicht und Niederlageerwartung, entschied sich oftmals das Schicksal der Betroffenen. Am Beispiel der Ereignisse in Welda, am 30. M�rz 1945, widmet sich die vorliegende Arbeit diesem Kapitel der nationalsozialistischen Gewaltgeschichte, wobei durch den Einbezug spieltheoretischer Methoden insbesondere die Handlungsspielr�ume und Entscheidungszw�nge der Beteiligten betrachtet werden.
