Ungleichbehandlungen geschehen nicht allein aufgrund der Kategorie Geschlecht, sondern auch aufgrund der Schichtzugeh�rigkeit und der Ethnizit�t eines Menschen. Als Analyseansatz von Mehrfachdiskriminierungen kann die Intersektionalit�tstheorie herangezogen werden. Der vorliegende Forschungsgegenstand der zuvor genannten theoretischen Ans�tze ist das Handlungsfeld der Kommunalpolitik. Hierbei stehen die Stadt Bochum und der Ausschuss f�r Migration und Integration der Stadt und dessen Mitglieder im Mittelpunkt der Forschung. Als zentrales Ergebnis der vorliegenden Forschungsarbeit l�sst sich eine prim�re Fokussierung auf migrations- und integrationspolitische Themen innerhalb der inhaltlichen Arbeit des Ausschusses festhalten. Gleichstellungs- und geschlechtspolitische Themen werden laut der Aussage der befragten Ausschussmitglieder in der Arbeit des Ausschusses mitbeachtet. Die Umsetzung der gleichstellungs- und geschlechtspolitischen Themen zeigt sich problematisch und wird folglich kritisch diskutiert. Gleichwohl ist den befragten Ausschussmitgliedern die inhaltliche Bedeutung des Begriffes Gender Mainstreaming" nicht bekannt. Die Umsetzung des Gender Mainstreaming r�ckt in den Hintergrund der Politik. Konkrete Handlungsempfehlungen sollen dazu dienen, die bereits angesto�enen Ma�nahmen zur Umsetzung gleichstellungs- und geschlechtspolitischer Themen voranzutreiben.
