Gesundheitspsychologie, Psychopathologie, Note: 1,7, MSB Medical School Berlin - Hochschule f�r Gesundheit und Medizin, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit ist es, nach einer zusammenfassenden Darstellung des St�rungsbildes Depression sowie einem kurzen Abriss zum Thema "Pr�vention" einige Programme, welche die Pr�vention von Depressionen bei Kindern und Jugendlichen zum Ziel haben, n�her zu betrachten. Weiterhin soll ein �berblick zu Wirksamkeitsevaluationen dieser Pr�ventionsprogramme erfolgen und daraus Implikationen f�r die Praxis abgeleitet werden. Mit einer Lebenszeitpr�valenz von etwa 20 Prozent z�hlen Depressionen sowohl deutschland- als auch weltweit zu einer der h�ufigsten Erkrankungen. Die Weltgesundheitsorganisation prognostiziert sogar, dass die depressiven Erkrankungen im Jahr 2020 das weltweit am zweith�ufigsten auftretende St�rungsbild nach den Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen �berhaupt sein werden. Auch bei Kindern und Jugendlichen nehmen depressive St�rungen immer mehr zu. Demnach berichten Hautzinger und Petermann (2003), dass sich das Alter bei Erstauftreten �ber die letzten Jahrzehnte signifikant nach vorn verlagert hat und sich die Erkrankungsrate im Jugendalter positiv beschleunigt.
