Sie geh�ren politisch gesehen zu Spanien und bilden eine der 17 Autonomen Gemeinschaften Spaniens. Die Lexik des kanarischen Spanisch wurde �ber Jahrhunderte hinweg von zahlreichen sprachlichen Einfl�ssen gepr�gt. Dazu geh�ren geografische und politische Faktoren sowie Einfl�sse durch Ein- und Auswanderungswellen, die vor allem auf die erste Eroberung im 15. Jahrhundert zur�ckgehen. Der Wortschatz der Kanarischen Inseln hat besonders viele Einfl�sse aus anderen Sprachen zu verzeichnen. So kann eine Vermischung mit andalusischen, portugiesischen, amerikanischen, anglikanischen und arabischen Elementen, deren Einfl�sse besonders im Zuge der Eroberung des Kanarischen Archipels stattfanden, nachgewiesen werden. Es k�nnen aber auch Verbindungen mit indigenen Sprachen wie dem Guanche oder Begriffen aus Landwirtschaft und Seefahrt festgestellt werden. Die oben genannten Einfl�sse auf die Lexik des kanarischen Spanisch werde ich in meiner Arbeit genauer betrachten, wobei ich zun�chst auf die bedeutenden Einfl�sse der Guanchismos, Andalucismos, Portuguesismos, Americanismos, Anglicismos und Arabismos eingehen werde. Zum Abschluss gehe ich n�her auf die besonderen und teilweise unbedeutenderen Einfl�sse des Arca�smos, Marinerismos und Campesinismos ein.
