Einf�hrung Die Werbung umfasst alles was wir heute kennen. Sie liefert Bilder von, oftmals unverwirklichbaren, Tr�umen. Diese Werbung, welche heute so pr�sent ist, gab es in �hnlicher Form bereits in den 1920er und 1930er Jahren. Die Umwerbung der Menschen wurde vielleicht noch nicht in so umfassender und professioneller Art und Weise get�tigt wie heute, dennoch sind die Versuche der Beeinflussung und Verleitung ein Produkt zu kaufen, bei Durchsicht der Schweizer Illustrierten Zeitung, durchaus erkennbar. Die Motivation der damals lebenden Personen Sonnenschutzmittel zu kaufen lag darin, dass es als abstossend galt braungebrannt zu sein oder gar einen Sonnenbrand zu haben. Dies galt vor allem f�r die h�heren sozialen Schichten, da diese es vorzogen in geschlossenen R�umen zu arbeiten, w�hrend Angeh�rige unterer sozialer Schichten im Freien arbeiteten und sich somit zwangsl�ufig br�unten. Weisse, ungebr�unte Haut war also quasi Beweis daf�r, dass man Angeh�riger einer hohen sozialen Schicht war, w�hrend ein dunkler Teint Anzeichen daf�r war, dass man im freien Arbeiten, k�rperlicher, schwerer Arbeit nachgehen musste und somit einer tieferen Schicht zugeh�rte. Keine Sonnenbr�une vorweisen zu d�rfen erlebten die damaligen Menschen quasi als ein m�ssen, welches von der Werbung f�r Sonnenschutzmittel noch verst�rkt wurde und somit eine "ideelle Beeinflussung"1 auf die Leute ausge�bt hat. 2. Fragestellung Die Fragestellung geht von der Hypothese aus, dass sich die Werbeanzeigen im Laufe der beiden Jahrzehnte ver�ndert haben. In zwei Kapiteln werde ich die Unterschiede der Anzeigen zwischen den Anf�ngen der 1920er Jahre und dem Ende der 1930er Jahre untersuchen.
