Mit der wirtschaftlichen �ffnung des Landes und dem stetigen Aufbau einer touristischen Infrastruktur machte die Moderne auch vor dem islamisch-arabisch gepr�gten Tunesien keinen Halt. Europ�ische Unternehmen drangen und dr�ngen auf den nordafrikanischen Markt. Touristen aus Deutschland, Frankreich und Italien besuchen zu Hunderttausenden Jahr f�r Jahr das Land der Sonne, wei�en Sandstr�nde und herzlichen Gastgeber. Die rechtliche Gleichstellung von Mann und Frau, der Ausbau und die anhaltende F�rderung des Bildungswesens sowie die Verbesserung des Sozial- und Gesundheitssystems gehen einher mit einer stetig steigenden Lebensqualit�t der Tunesier. Heute pr�sentiert sich Tunesien als Musterbeispiel unter den arabischen L�ndern, dem es gelungen ist, moderne Werte des westlichen Kulturraumes mit seinen traditionellen arabischen Werten friedlich und erfolgreich zu vereinen.
