Derzeit haben Konzepte wie "Erinnerungskultur", "kommunikatives Ged�chtnis", "kulturelles Ged�chtnis", "globales Ged�chtnis" wissenschaftlich und in der �ffentlichen Debatte Konjunktur. Die Biographief- schung wie die Psychoanalyse resp. die Psychoanalytische P�dagogik sind durch diese Entwicklungen in unterschiedlicher Weise herausgefordert, zum wiss- schaftlichen Austausch beizutragen, aber auch ihre eigenen Vorstellungen, - grifflichkeiten und Theorien zu reflektieren. Dazu fordern z. B. die neueren - gebnisse der Neurowissenschaften auf (vgl. Koukkou/Leuzinger-Bohleber/M- tens 1998; Roth 2001), als auch die zur Zeit in der Biographieforschung aktuelle Frage zum Verh�ltnis von Trauma, Erinnerung und transgenerationeller Weit- gabe (vgl. Rosenthal 1995) sowie zum Problem "falscher" Erinnerungen (vgl. Loftus 2003). Dass das menschliche Subjekt seine Welt, seine Beziehungen zu sich selbst und zu anderen, seine Gef�hle und seine Empfindungen durch seine Narrationen konstituiert, ist wohl f�r beide Forschungsrichtungen gleicherma�en g�ltig. Durch die Form der Narration transformiert der Mensch nat�rliche Zeit in menschliche Zeitlichkeit und entdeckt so, wer und was er zwangsl�ufig gewesen sein muss, um zu demjenigen geworden zu sein, der er nun ist und eines Tages vielleicht sein wird. Hierbei spielt der R�ckgriff auf die Vergangenheit und die Archivierung von Erinnerungen eine wesentliche Rolle.
